Child Care

The Rockbridge Area YMCA provides after-school programs at Waddell and Fairfield elementary schools and will consider expanding that service to other locations as needed. The YMCA also will offer childcare for working parents when weather closes schools — and a camp for children during all times they are out of school.

The YMCA is a national leader in child care, serving 500,000 children a day in more than 9,000 locations. The Y stresses the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility in an enriched learning and recreational environment for all children.
